Planning consent has been granted for a new residential development at the Crystal-owned Greensnook farmhouse site in Bacup.
The new plans, approved by Rossendale Borough Council, allow for seven 4-bedroom houses to be built on the site.
Currently the site contains the former farmhouse and outbuildings which are to be demolished to make way for the new houses.
Crystal Chairman Stephen Ashworth said: “We are pleased that Rossendale Borough Council has finally accepted our proposals for this site. The current farm buildings are vacant and in a state of disrepair. We feel that the new homes will be a huge boost to Bacup.”
The site is located at the higher end of Greensnook Lane, approximately half a mile from Bacup town centre. It is adjacent to open countryside.
